the other option

Or run the whole thing yourself, for nothing.

questions

The honest answers.

What you'd ask before putting your team's work on it.

How does usage billing work?
You pay one monthly base fee, which is lower the more people use Magus, then the exact provider cost of the models you run, with no markup. Spend caps and per-workspace limits are built in, so there are no surprises.
Is there a free plan?
Every account includes CHF 1 of usage to try things out, but the sustainable free option is to host it yourself. See what's open →
What does self-hosting cost?
You don't need any licences from our self it host it yourself. So the hosting and provider costs are entierly up to your own setup.
Where does my data live, and can I bring my own models?
On the hosted plan, in Switzerland or the EU; self-hosted, wherever you run it. Add any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, open weights, or a local model, no code changes.
